PUBLIC GOODS UGANDA SKATEBOARDING KSI KAMPALA
On an international scale, the project’s commitment to the skate scene in Uganda highlights the importance of public goods. Forty new decks were sent to local skaters, which, after use, will be recycled and turned into new Nogglesboards — creating a virtuous cycle of sustainability, creativity, and empowerment. In addition, the donation of essential tools like Makita electric saws directly supports the community's ability to build their own Nogglesboards and keep the DIY culture alive. These actions not only reinforce skateboarding as a tool for expression and inclusion but also energize local environments and boost creative autonomy. At the heart of the project lies a simple yet powerful belief: Nogglesboard believes in the intersection of art, attitude, community, and concrete action. Each recycled deck carries values that go beyond style — they are visual and physical manifestations of freedom, decentralization, and care for one another.
